Tell me this isn't double standards dave? It's complete bullshit. I think at this time JustCommodores need to pull thier head in and REALISE that there are more than 2 Car Relating forums on the internet. Or are you guys scared that advertising will create people to go elsewhere?

good on minux for starting this thread. my sig was deleted but didnt really feel like causing a fuss about it even though it was just a stupid decision. mine didnt contain anything that anyone over the age of 12 would find offensive. there are plenty of things on the internet that are far more offensive than a couple of lines of text in someones signature that people dont pay much attention to.
and about the linking to other websites, i see plenty of cardomain links and that seems like a forum in one way or another

Whats the big freakin deal, serious, we are lucky we are even allowed to have signatures, you wanna compare this place to other sites well I can tell you PLENTY of other sites that don't allow signatures at all. Granted most of us are all adults and most won't be offended the kind of things you want to have in your sigs but is it really necessary?
We'd like to keep this site work, family, school friendly and I for one think that is more important than pleasing a minority of members who feel the need have signatures filled with swear words. What our admin/mods/members have in their signatures at other sites is completely irrellevent, thats up to the other site to deal with.
Can you guys just get over it already, if you have been asked to change your signature, please just do it, theres millions of other sites out there where you can type rude words save it for them.

the signature thing was done to prevent people putting in racist, insulting and nasty sigs, which is what he had, if you dont like it, fine, leave.
now, as for aussieholden linking, guess what, i own that site, which i have given to justcommodores. so as far as i can see, be it that the 2 sites are owned by the same people we can cross link each other.
general rule guy's, jc is the biggest commodore forum in australia. if i went to street commodores and linked jc i would get kicked out, if i went to brisbane commodores and linked jc i would get kicked out. those are to name just a few, it's common respect between forums. you want members, fine, get your own. we didnt become the size we are today by posting links on other forums. that is why linking other websites isnt alowed.
and trent, like i said, if you dont like it, and think jc is turning into some sort of a nartzi forum, fine, leave, go to yoru other forums, play games there, and try the same stunt there. you will be surprised what will happen.

you people think that this place is run by a bunch of nazis yet you forget what moderators actually do FOR YOU.
what happens when you have a sook because someone left you a negative reputation comment? it gets removed by a moderator...
what happens when you want an avatar that is bigger in dimensions and KB then what is allowed? you get it...
you have a cry about the reputaion system cos it sucks. it gets changed to something else and you bitch about that. then a poll is set up so YOU MEMBERS can decide what you want. it could quiet easily have been decided by moderators but it is decided upon by you members in a democratic vote...
you want you username changed and then changed back a week later? you got it...
we clean up your stupid petty arguements because you have a personal issue with someone and then suddenly we are 'power tripping'..? yea good one, you started it in the first place...
you seem to expect us to do everything for you and that we HAVE to do it. the answer is, no we do not HAVE to do anything for you. we do it by choice and to make the users happier and to feel more welcome.
