Well ive had my calais for a bit over a year and now that I actually have an income a few little things have changed, so here she is, lemmie know what you think. Model: 2003 Series 1 VY Calais Colour: Some Sort of Blue Engine Type: 3.8L Ecotec Engine Mods: Stock Gearbox: 4 Speed Auto When i forst got her she was pretty dirty and had a bit of panel damage from when he has obviously misjudged where the bollard was and scraped the rear right passanger door but i got that fixed up just recently including getting the front and rear bumpers touched up too. Got her with 148k on the clock with 9 months rego for a whopping 9 grand so I cant complain. Interior Modifications- ASR LED dash with Complete LED blue/white lighting conversion (Thanks Ant!) Eclipse CD5030 head unit German Maestro CS 6508 up front Alpine Type R 6x9 in the rear shelf Rockford Fostgate amp running speakers 2x old 12" clarion subs (freebie) old 400w clarion amp running subs (freebie) Exterior 18" Advanti Aria rims wrapped in Kumho KU18 rubber Some form of tint which previous owner put on it Purchased end of January 2010. Future Plans: Just drop it a bit either with FE2 or just a set of lows *due to severe back problems from a near fatal bike crash in 2009 it cant be too low as my body just cant handle it being too low* Got 6000K HID kit sittin inside just waiting to get thrown in throw darkest legal tint on it throw away old subs n old clarion amp and replace with a good monoblock amp and a single rockford 12"sub thats about it so far, but pics are as follows;
Nice car mate, definately need to lower it though...the wheels look tiny sitting at that height...I had the same issue with mine, 18's still don't look massive once you"ve lowered it...but they suit it a whole lot better...you"ll be glad you did

Hey not a bad looking Calais dude. Was going to say super lowers but yeah the back thing and lows will still look good. Some chrome door handles and statesman indicators never look out of place on this model Calais either. Im thinking its actually Vespers Blue that your car is painted in. Mine is also a series 1 03 and btw Ill be talking to Ant to get my dash done much like yours hehe.
Yeah it would look nice sittin on ssl and sl in the front, but there is no way thats gonna happen as my busted up body wont really like it. word of advice 'never and i mean never break ur back, well that and lots of other things especially at the same time' kinda judges how you live from then on
Well the HID is in there now, well my second set as the ballast in the first set died after a month so i went and got some good quality ones from perth instead 600k 55w low & hi beams done! but other than that ive literally done nothing else to her. Im thinking ill leave her as she is because im gonna look for a series 2 vz senator at the end of the year/start of next
