Looks the goods mate, just as a heads up these od girls have a common earth speaker/sound system, so you will need to rewire the whole thing to put in a new stereo (if you want to drive it often/loud) Probs best to just rewire the whole thing anyway since the wires are so old :p What's the interior like? Green? Love the look of the debadged grille. The Falcon gearstick knob looks cool, got long until his Ps?

Today was show day, so we had a day off school....

Removed antenna as it was snapped half way

We (well mostly him) took the old radio out...

When he took the thing off from under the glovebox, we found a photo:rofl:

Cheers :)

Good job guys. What sort of radio are you replacing it with?
Did you get the car off a relative? Or is that just a random's photo? lol

Um... not sure at the minute, Simon's gotta have a look around to see what he can get :) The hole is a decent size so most regular radios should fit in...

Haha nah no relative, just some random photo, we presume its the previous owner however.

Colour looks like Mist Green from the photos. Used to have a Gemini in that colour many years ago.

Cheers Mate :)

Well my bro finished on the passenger side rear guard... the previous owner reversed into something and left a big dent/scratch down the side of the car :( The dent couldn't be bashed out due to the inner skin of the guard, so bog time it was haha
**Not sure what people's reactions to bog are on here, but this was NOT trying to fix/cover any rust, simply to fix a dent in the guard.

One of our mates is a panel beater/spray painter so he'll hopefully paint it and blend it nicely :)

Just a happy snap from today, he threw on some old plates just for shits and gigs haha

Also, does anybody know if VL mirrors will fit on a VC? If not, is it hard to make them fit?

Cheers

If the vl mirrors are anything like the vk (I'm to lazy to check) then I think they're pretty much a straight swap and kinda common, lot of people prefer the look. One of the more experienced guys can confirm this for you.
One thing I'd personally suggest, if you haven't already considered it, is to add bonnet struts. There's a tutorial linked on the second page of my thread (too lazy to link you directly, sorry :p ) All you need are two ball studs, the boot struts off a vl wagon (better getting these rather than second hand/used) and the front guard mounts off a vs.
Cleans it up really nicely.

Looking good mate, she'll be on the road in no time. Good luck.
