Ok, long story short...

I have 2 VY's - An Ecotec Berlina with an exhaust that I am about to sell and an L67 Calais that I am keeping. Before I sell the Berlina, I am considering swapping its exhaust onto the L67 Calais.

The L67 Calais has the standard twin cat exhaust from factory. Only modification is 10psi pulley and cold air intake, and I won't be doing anything else to the car.

The Ecotec berlina has pacemaker extractors running into a high flow (100cpsi) cat and a single 2.5" exhaust.

Is it worth swapping? Due to other commitments (building a house etc.) I can't justify spending 1800 on a full twin 2.25" system, so will the 2.5" do?

Note: I realise the 100cpsi cat is illegal and I realise I will need to plug the EGR valve on the pacemaker headers once they are on the L67.

You don't need to spend $1800 on a twin system, you can get one off a VY SS 2nd hand in good condition for $250 or less...
Just hold your horses mate, the exhaust guru will comment on this soon and he'll set you straight.

Dunno where your getting $1800 from. I've just done a full custom made dual 2.25" system for under $800. It consists of dual 2.25" front/mid section with 2X2.25" glass pak mufflers and a VZ HSV rear resi(which is dual 2.25") with some custom mandrel bent pipe work between the two and stainless tips.

If you are going the full thing new, extractors, twin high flow cats and twin system, then yes, it will be up around $1800.

But just swap it over, it will only cost you time and it will fit straight up and flow enough. The factory L67 is 2" twin into a 2 1/4" single at the rear.

lol just get a second hand VY SS or HSV catback and put it on. I scored mine for nothing from my local exhaust shop.
