Was just taking a closer look at a marked police VZ SS parked in Sydney, and noticed that it had the 17" alloys (like on the ute) instead of the standard sedan 18"s. The guy driving it reckoned that all police SS sedans now come with the 17s instead of 18s, because the tyres are significantly cheaper to replace during a typical car's service life.
Can anyone out there confirm if this is correct or not, as the cop VYs seemed to all have 18" wheels. Maybe it's a city thing, not Highway Patrol?
