2010 VE SS Sportwagon, Audi A4, Combo work hack
It's been a few years since i've been on here but I just picked this up and thought I might share my new purchase.

Model: SS Sportwagon
Year: 2010
Km's: 109,000
Transmission: 6 speed Auto
Colour: Heron White
Engine: L76
Suspension: FE2
Options: Leather Interior, Tow Bar
Stereo: Factory Headunit, Kicker splits front, Kickers rear

It also has a few mods already on it,
So far from what I can tell it has:

Current Mods:
Ballistic Racing 4-1 Extractors and Cats (not 100% sure on cats, haven't looked under it yet)
X-Force twin 2.5 Stainless Steel cat back
Duspeed OTR
Mafless Tune by Castle Hill Performance
Stubby Antenna
Tint
Debadged except for front and rear Lions and SS on the sides
DVD Players/Screens in front headrests.

So far all future mods will be cosmetic at this stage.

Future Mods:
Damn good detail all round
Lowered a bit more
Bit of a louder exhaust
Headunit/speakers/sub/reverse camera
New rims
Black Leather Shift knob
Flappy paddle conversion (Maybe)
HSV Front seats (maybe)
LED Headlights/Taillights

So being a Detailer by trade (and also the fact this car will be an advertisement for my business) First thing is giving it a damn good detail, the paint is absolutely COVERED in swirl marks, it looks decent in photos, etc but when you look for them...

Also the rest of the car isn't up to my standard in terms of overall cleanliness so needs a good going over.
Once thats done, it will be getting some kind of coating on it, not sure which yet but whatever I get it should make the white really pop.

Anyone know what the wheels are by the way? I've been searching but can't seem to find another set that looks exactly like them.

Photos below are the ones from the dealership. I'll get some at some point.

Pulled off the passenger door trim and found out it does indeed have Kickers.
Splits in the front and coaxials in the rear doors.

That's one less thing I need to do now anyway.

Pretty sure those wheels are from a VE series 2 Calais, that's what I can find on google image.

LOL. I know.
Way too shiny, and slippery. Dealerships idea of detailing.

Have already given the drivers seat a good scrubbing and feels so much nicer already. Will give them all the leatherique treatment also since the seats are a little bit hard, will see what it can do with them.

Thanks, I thought they were Calais rims but something just looked different about them.

So was wondering why the rear speakers weren't working, pulled off the door trims and found the pins they plugged into the standard speaker plugs had corroded and one had fallen off on each side.

Not sure how water had gotten in there, but I had to snip off about 2.5 inches of wiring before I got clean copper again, then soldered and heatshrinked them all up properly.
It doesn't look like the water damaged any other wiring though.

Also sanded (very heavily) and polished up the drivers side headlight since the passenger side had been replaced at some point and there was a massive difference in colour.
It's better, a lot better, but still has some colour difference so will probably buy a new one so it matches 100%.
It also has a ton of small stone chips etc in it that are screwing up the clarity.

So took a trip to Jaycar today and picked up these.

I then proceeded to install them.

The USB port is mounted where the centre speaker used to be, so I can plug in things like GPS, dash cam etc without a ton of messy wires all over the place.

The bluetooth adapter is just stuck on with double sided tape directly under the stereo. The 3.5mm jack is running into the front AUX for now, once I get a rear Aux Cable it will be all round the back.

It works well, you can skip songs with the knob, and answer calls if you want. I didn't install the mic. Plus it kinda looks like it was made for this car, exact same silver.

Thanks VS_Pete
I take a long road trip each year back to Melbourne so getting it prepped for that is priority for me at the moment.
Need my tunes in the middle of nowhere NSW ;)
