Hey guys, Bought some 343/315mm slotted rotors from Harrop for my VY Clubby. Paid almost $2000 for them and after fitting them up today noticed all slots run in the same direction. I know that most slotted rotors have a L and R side. I got two rights front and rear but had no choice as I had to fit them because my previous rotors were on the way out. Has anybody dealt with Harrop and have this happen? Is it normal with Harrop rotors? Do you reckon Harrop will send me the correct rotors even though I have already fitted them? Is it really a big deal having the rotors like that? I did pay alot for them and just want to know if anyone else has dealt with Harrop direct.
Don't know about their aftermarket rotors but the Harrops fitted to VT-VZ R8's only have one rotor for both sides, unlike DBA's and RDA's which have L & R's.
Thanks it's all sorted now. Harrop aftermarket rotors are always slotted directionally so as slots face forwards on both sides in the opposite direction of the vanes. However, Genuine HSV/Harrop factory supplied rotors of this era were only slotted in one direction, this is how HSV supplied them and how contractually we have to supply them also. It was cheaper for HSV to do it this way. This is why they don't have a Left and Right part number. Thanks!
