hey peoples,

i just fitted DBA slotted discs to the VH....

now, they had a "left" and a "right" marked on them.I fit the "left" to the passanger side.

now, i had a look at some other people slotted discs, and some people have the slots going the opposite way to me.

mine is rotating the way the picture shows.

cheers

i think they meant left and right faceing the car from the front bonnet not from driver position because they are faceing the wrong way (im pretty sure dont quote me) as far as i was aware the slots where suposed to face the other way so when you brake the slots are going against the pad not with it

yeah, thats what i was tossing up... cos i figured that if they were facing the other way, then they would stop better cos the whole face of the slot hits the pad.....

why the hell would they put a L and R on it and not conclude that you need to look at the car to determine what side is what...... a P and D would make more sense......

thanks mate, ill change em round.....

Heres a pic of the brakes I used to have on my VK. Passengers side shown.

Also if your diagram is for the passengers side shouldnt the caliper be on the front and not the back :)??

now i am confused.... my picture that i drew was not of any certain side... it was just to show which was my discs are installed in relation to the caliper and the rotation of the wheel.

i have mine installed like the picture of the vk..... but according to the first reply, this is incorrect....

thanks

i reckon you got yours right, as when i got a hoppers stoppers kit it comewith the same disc marking and the calipers also came with a left and right marking, and obviously with the caliper you need to get it on the right side to get the bleed valve at the top, and to do all this i ended up with mine facing the same as vkberlinas pic.

right hand side of the picture is the front of the car.

R is the drivers and L is the passangers.

Going by the diagram you have drawn its right.

so the large face of the slot is not meant to come into contact with the pad all at once..... cheers
