Is this the ultimate road rage story?

A former soldier’s attempt to murder a stranger for driving too slow was a “bad call” triggered by concerns for his wife’s welfare, a court has heard.

Anderson — who the court earlier heard calls the Smith and Wesson .357 silver magnum revolver used in the attack “Precious” — was eventually arrested on the way to Port Augusta.

During the trial Anderson told the court he was the victim and Mr Walsh was a “a creep who ruined a perfect holiday”.

He said Mr Walsh’s car was “moping along” and so he overtook it, only for the younger man to “nudge” him from behind and pass his vehicle — forcing him to fire five shots.

The reason I don't own guns, every driver in the right lane that driving slowly that didn't move over would be shot!

Nothing is worth going to those extremes over , take a deep breath , and at the next rest stop , get out of car and stamp your feet , and then continue on your way . Although I tend to agree about BMW's usually it's the SUV models driven by a 50 kg angry blonde stick soccer mum .

I think the most annoying motorists are the ones that do 80 in the 100 zone, until the next overtaking lane, then back to 80 when there is no way to get past them in a speed limited truck.
Some times you just feel like pushing them off the road.

Or when they go 70 in a 90 zone and keep going 70 when you reach the next towns 50 zone, #### heads.

Wonder if the defence tried the old mental health or temporary insanity rouse hes obviously a bit unbalanced.

Ok, a bit of devils advocate here, and this is of course hypothetical. If the young bloke nudged the older guy from behind while travelling at speed, is he not the instigator? He could have caused a serious accident and killed the older guy and his wife, then when he went to overtake, the older guy could have thought he was about to get rammed off the road and he responded in what he considered to be self defence. Just a passing thought, imo both of them are in the wrong.
