I have owned this SS for around twelve years. It was heavily modified when i bought it and in the time i have owned it i have almost replaced all of the mechanical parts. When i bought it it had a fibreglass VR/VS clubsport front bumper and rear wing and the rear guards were rounded and am starting to put the body back to standard. It's evolving more toward how i want it all the time and i have most of the parts to get the rear end back to factory.

Nice build you got going there bro good to see you made your own with mods whats next on the cards for this. Have you thought about building a shield for your air filter just to save it from engine heat soak or going back to a factory box with a/m filter just a suggestion.

thanks mate. Next is to replace the hood lining for a dark coloured one which will complete the interior for now. Then in the winter i'll get the rear body parts back to standard and have the car resprayed.

Yeah the pod isn't my ideal, i changed that years ago and regret it now. It did have a SV5000 air box but i wasn't as wise as I am now and sold it, was 22 when i bought this car and ideals have changed now i'm older and not so stupid haha. I'm not chasing horsepower, it has a lumpy cam and enough go to be interesting but that's all for now. I drive it regularly and it's cheap enough to run.
I just realised i didn't put any proper info about the donk. The engine in it is about three years old, done about 15,000ks. Brand new short block, new shot peened rods, pistons, crank etc. Comp cams push rods.

The paint doesn't look to bad for it's age but a respray should have it gleaming again thou. Yeah we all get wiser with age but hey you only live once i think. You should be able to find another air box if you search ebay over here even trade me & T&E if that's still around.

yeah it's not bad but plenty of stone chips and the rear quarters are a bit of an abortion.

Those rear quarters look weird on a VN.

yeah i'm not a fan so will be changing them. I have one side off a VN at the moment to replace them.
they were done by a panel beater, cut 100mm sections out of a vr/vs and welded them in. they have lower lip and inner guard parts to them.
