best and easiest way to work out what the hell the smoke has in it is to get a very clean white rag, place it over the end of the exhaust and hold it there while you start the car. let it idle for a while and then give it a few light revs, then turn it off and have a look at the rag.
if it has lots of black specs all over it - you've got oil. if it is clean but has become damp - then you've got water.
once you've actually worked out what is burning off in the exhaust to make the smoke then you can go about fixing it....your just guessing otherwise.

i know there is moisture in mine with white smoke on normal day. not cold. does that mean head gasket?

Also make sure that there is no water in the exhaust system!!! My dad washed his car last with a high pressure hose and without realizing it that he was getting water into the exhaust pipe, but it would take a while for it to get hot down that end and blow smoke so that would be very unlikely in your situation.

yes thats coz diesel engines dont have spark plugs, the deisel isnt ignited, its compressed.. but drop it in a ignition engine, n she'll bellow white smoke :)
