What a nice Mechanic. Get a T joiner in brass and some fuel hose and clamps. Push the hose over the lip and clamp.

I seen that but wasn't sure it was going to work as it looks like one of his connectors has been cut and pushed on hence the reason I said what I said.

I can't believe that the mechanic left it like that. I would have thought that they would be obligated to fix it if they snapped it while they were working on your car.

Tell the previous mechanic to fix it.
I think it was a backyard butcher job, no mechanic would leave it like that, hasn't even strapped it up. One hose has a spit been pushed on and the other broken.
