Hey everyone... Not in town at the moment so will be a quiet week from me on the forum... Day 1 - Snow, snow snow!!!! Never seen so much power in Australia... Awesome conditions... Here's me and my sis...
CSP I hear the snow is great this year, we are aiming to get up in the next 2-3 weeks before season closes.
Can we not derail this thread.....I hope CSP puts some good pics of the snow on here, cos I'm keen next year to go myself.
could be a reason behind you not replying to my SMS you arse. lol have fun up there (or down there, wherever it is lol)!
Im hoping for an awsome snow run this year, im going down at the end of the month. Cant wait, i wanna go now.
Was planning on going down in the next few weeks, but my mate called me 2 weeks ago and asked if I wanted to go to Big White in Canada. Needless to say I'm saving my money instead Already booked for 4 weeks at the joint, can't wait till February now, been way too many years since I've been in Canada. Sounds like the Aussie resorts have had a few decent dumps in the last 3 weeks or so. Hopefully it keeps up, it's been a while since we've had a real good season.
LOL quiet week for everyone on the forum without yu! :whistling Never seen snow..... Dont want either, its cold enough here without it lol. Hope you have fun though!
its actually not that 'cold' in the snow. Air temp is like -3 but it doesnt feel cold. I spent a few weeks at hotham and i wore a tshirt around. i honestly feel colder now in adelaide 12degrees about now than i ever did in the snow.
That is of course unless it's not windy, and the snow pack is pretty dry. I've spent many days at perisher freezing my ass off when it's windy on a chairlift, sopping wet because the snow had the consistency of a slurpee. If you get a nice sunny day with some dry snow, it's usually pretty warm. Been quite a few days that I've gone out with just a tshirt on as well. Worst thing about Australian resorts is that the weather changes so quickly, and pretty often you'll get a bit of rain. The moisture in the air here is the killer, even going to much colder snow resorts around the world seem warmer because they don't have the humidity that we do. I've been out in -25c in Fernie, and it seemed warmer than some days I've seen at Thredbo or Perisher even when temps were in the positives.
Here's some pics from and of where we're staying at Mt Hotham... Will get some action shots and maybe even a video or two later in the week.
slow poke, im sure the kids are onto this already but snow and cordial is AMAZING. except a 200ml bottle of cordia is about $8 in the deli at hotham central lol
is that in a new x-trail? they arnt to shabby haha, snow looks great, oh, where you still going to oran park day? i was looking forward to seeing the clubby....
