Hi everyone, I've had my VY Berlina series 2 for about 3yrs now and just recently I've been having trouble with my coolant system. Today I looked under the car for any leaks and I've got coolant leaking from somewhere and it's dripping from my trans, I've gotten underneath it and tried to follow the trail up the back of the engine but I can't find or see it, is there any way that I can find the source of the leak and fix it without taking the engine out or having to take it half apart, I can't afford to put it into the mechanic

Examine where the heater hoses connect to the firewall. Make sure the hoses are in good condition and that the hose clamps and nice and tight.
Leaking from the rear of the Inlet manifold is also a possibility.

when you put your heater on
does the cabin smell of coolant
if the heater core leaks, it usually comes out the aircon drain hose
which is just above transmission

It looks like it’s coming from the bottom of the bell housing. That could be the rear engine seal plate. The plate is alloy and corrodes over time. The transmission has to come out to access it though so rule out the heater hoses first.

My bet is on a heater core leak in the HVAC or firewall heater hose leak.

Would it be odd for LIM gasket to leak back of the motor?
