I heard that most paints require 90 days for the curing process to complete.

I heard that most paints require 90 days for the curing process to complete.
While this is probably true of most enamels and acrylics, you can generally get the buff out 4 - 6 weeks after application, depending on outside temps. 4 - 6 weeks is normally enough to prevent the buff creating too much swirl.

I've generally been ok with wetsanding/buffing Acrylics after a week in spring/summer, I've never had any issues with it.
