Please post your car model details together with the software version and part number from the "engineering" mode information. If anyone knows what the latest versions are and if/when updates occur, please add that information here too.

You can get to the engineering mode by holding down the left "channel change" button on the steering wheel when starting your car -- off to on. On starting up, you should see engineering mode in the display on the dash .... scroll the options with the "channel changer" scroll wheel.

Also note any "issues" that you are aware of to add to this thread.

Car Details:
VE MY10 -- Commodore International Dual Fuel [V6].

Head Unit: Basic single CD [Omega level]

Software: 02.08.rel
Part Number: 92244985

Known Deficiencies/Issues:

1. Instant Fuel always 0.0 l/hr
-- apparently this is true of all Dual Fuel cars :(

2. Bluetooth

2a. -- only shows "VOICE IN" for incoming calls;
2b. -- activates on EVERY key press on phone, loses radio sound
2c. -- doesn't show track info when playing music (via BT).
2d -- increasing volume beeps on any key press of phone.

Possible Deficiencies/Issues:

1. Single CD unit doesn't play MP3 files off a CD.

2a. I have an iPhone and it doesn't display call details. My understanding is that displaying call details is a comptability issue between your phone and the Holden Bluetooh.
2b. Again, this is phone dependant. Before my iPhone, I had a Nokia 6230 and it did the same thing. My iPhone however, doesn't do this.
2c. Not sure any phone does that. I use the Front AUX to play my music.
2d. Note sure exactly what you are talking about with this one.

As for the Single CD not playing MP3 CD's, I will give you that one however it isn't a big deal for me because I just use the Front AUX and my iPhone.

One down grade between my old VZ and my new VE was the progamming for the front wipers. In the VZ if you turned the car off while the wipers were on, they would return to the down position. With the VE, the just stay in the middle of window.

the self test is just showing all the dash warnings and you dont need tech 2, and tyre pressure function was only available on early hsv e1 & export cars

Sorry, but I don't get it. Aren't others interested in knowing the software version(s) out there and any possible issues with them that Holden could address based on our feedback via this thread (and others)?

Ok I'll play...I would like to know how current this version is for my car.

Mine is Software Version 011.013.092.

I have had a few problems (all known issues) which Holden have fixed under warranty and I have found the local dealer and service dept to be very professional.

No problems with Bluetooth....well sometimes my phone does not connect to the car - but this happens with my laptop too so Im not worried. Other times the car connects to the phone when I cant even find the phone! :)

Would be great to unearth all the software releases and what was fixed in each release.

So..... the SAME problems after all these years! Come on Holden that is really pathetic, please fix our BLUETOOTH at least with a software update, it is well overdue!

I think the problem is not the bluetooth software used in the car but the phone itself using a different version of bluetooth. If you go to this website
Bluetooth® Compatibility - Bluetooth® - Owners Info - Holden. Go better. you will see that different phones will have different effects.

I have apparently had the latest software installed in my car 014.019.133 to resolve another issue but I still have the same VOICE IN message on my screen. According to Holden my HTC HD2 only has partial compatability which is why I dont get my address book or incoming number display.

I had this problem with my Nokia and Parrot Bluetooth kit. I solved it by going into the phone settings and turning off 'key tones', this has solved 90% of the problem which makes it better than everytime you do something everything goes quiet.
