Hi Folks.


I have compiled a list of “Body Control Module” numbers for VR and VS Commodores. These numbers I have collected from any source that I could find.

It is amazing how once an error gets into print how it gets repeated.

These have been checked and rechecked to confirm their correctness.

Holden B.C.M. Numbers ​

92044 097 VR Series 1 Mid Level with key override.
92044 293 VR Lux BCM
92043 498 VR Series 1 Low Level with key override.
92042 522 VR Series 1 Theft Deterrent Module with key override.
92042 761 VR Series 1 Ute Level with key override.
92048 787 VR Series 1 Ute Level with timed override.
92048 788 VR Series 1 Low Level with timed override.
92048 789 VR Series 1 Mid Level with timed override.
92048 790 VR Series 1 Theft Deterrent Module with timed override.
92049 795 VR Series II Hi BCM Caprice, Statesman and Calais.
92049 885 VR Lux BCM, Berlina.
92048 786 VR Low Level with timed override (V5V Column Shift Auto. No Power Windows).
92045 884 VR Bosch I am having trouble confirming this one.

92049 146 VS Mid Level.
92049 147 VS Lux BCM Berlina Models.
92049 148 VS Ute BCM
92049 149 VS Hi BCM Calais, Statesman, and Caprice.
92049 150 VS Low Level.
92055 379 VS Hi BCM Calais, Statesman with timed override.
92056 492 VS Mid Level with timed override.
92056 493 VS Lux BCM with timed override.
92056 494 VS Low Level with timed override.
92056 502 VS HSV BC

In the VR series, The
92044 097 can be replaced by 92048 789 Mid.

92042 761 can be replaced by 92048 787 Ute.

92042 498 can be replaced by 92048 788 Low.

Your keys will need to be programmed into the replacement BCM. Ignore the key override switch near the passenger side door hinges.

Can Confirm VR 92045 884 is Early Berlina Bosch unit with timed override. I would assume it is the same as the 885 LUX except 884 had a standalone Theft Deterrent Module. I have 2 884's now that are both not functioning correctly smh. If anyone has one they want to sell I'm ready to buy lol

How does one tell which VR, or VS of a model is a Series 1, 2, or 3?

I have information regarding some BCM features that change depending on which series it was fitted to.

Fairly sure you would be able to do it via vin, what info do you have on series 1 BCMs?

The VS Commodore series 1 B.C.M. has a timed security override of forty-five minutes, which is different to the B.C.M's fitted to the series two VS Commodores.

What are you using to take pics?
If using a phone, google how do l resize pictures with whatever phone you have. For example, samsung A14. (thats what l use).

By the way, the forum only allows pics smaller than 2MB in size to be uploaded.

Series II also has the 45 minute override as I discovered many years ago in my June 97 built wagon that was nearly stolen but the wife came back before the clock of the thieves reached 45 minutes and as such this disturbed them and they would've left when they saw her come back to the car.
