My Mum was down at the shops today in her Mazda 6, hardly ever drives it. She gets back to her car and someone has swiped the rear of her car and taken huge chunks out of the bumper, big scratch across the rear of the car also. Then drove off without even leaving a note. they did stop to pick up the large chunks of bumper that they broke off however. Heres the damage the c***s did to the car
What Is with people these days, its like the world is full of little kids that have not grown up yet and have no sense of responsablity. P.S f##king c**ts also some`s them up.
A family friend hit a car when backing out of a parking space. She drove off and an hour later the cops turned up on her doorstep. A witness had taken her number plate. Silly woman. Her excuse was "I didn't think I did much damage".
that sucks troy but **** happens and **** heads cause it. If its isured then all u can do is take it with a grain of salt. All the best with it
Fffk man.. that has got be one of the worst drive-offs I have ever seen! I've said it before and I'll say it again... I hope people like this get what is coming to them, be it a smashed up car or an STD.
On the up side, it is only the bumper by the looks of it. Atleast they didn't hit the panels and to that sort of damage.
scratch across top of boot also, but yeah its covered by full comprehensive, just wish there was someone to blame. My mum was quite upset, shes had the car 2 years and done lik 10,000km and every time she drives it something happens to it. last time she took it shopping it got keyed
its a real pain in the arse when this happens hey. Had my rig keyed, fully repsrayed 1 week later badged then reversed into without a note. Im over caring anymore, if i did i would never be able to stop being mad
That's real bad luck mate - could have been a lot more damage though if they clipped the tail lights. Must be the Blue Mazda 6's - My brother has one and it has had 4 crashes/scrapes in 3 years. Only good thing is they seem to match the colour well as you cant see the repairs.
Gah, I can thank my lucky stars that ive never had this happen to me. I have a mate who just got his xr6t right, took it to gold coast and somebody key'd the boot. Then a week after that someone backed into it at his work.
Sorry about the damage Troy. It gives me the %^$#% that people simply do not care about other peoples property these days. People do not take responsibility for their actions and it makes me want to just drive a big POS for day to day stuff and keep a good car for the weekends. Chances are the person didn't have insurance and thats why they got away in a hurry.
i feel sorry for your mum mate! one of the worst things to happen. but i really do think it has a lot to do with "where, when and how" you park your vehicles. touch wood i don't have this happen, but i rarely go to shopping centre car parks, and if i do i always park against a wall and as far up to it as possible to minimise "chances" of accidents. usualy that kind of damage is done by "someone" that can obviously not reverse out and turn at the same time, lazy pricks, there needs to be more driver education and people that hit and run should have L tattooed on their foreheads ****s.
jesus Christ:cry:.....what were they thinking.. *its only a scratch...meh* ive had a fair amout of people hit the **** out of my mums passenger side door with there door whikle i have been in the car.....needless to say 12 hits later (full door swing and hits) they finally got out....me however was very angry haha luck they hit the trolley strips on the door though...no damage. .not saying they all do but its mainly the older people that do it
well the fact is they know what they did, because they got out of the car and picked up the pieces that broke off......
it's a tough thing with a nice car. I used to be one of those pricks who takes up two parks so no one parks close enough to hit me. Then i found out that there are people who target people who park like that and key their paint. So what can one do?! no much really unfortunately. Life is full of ********s. My other half just had a claim made against her, the other person reversed out of a park into her and is now claiming my mrs ran a stop sign halfway up the street adn that's what caused it. I reckons that's crappo too, almost as bad as a driveoff because the insurance company are standing by her and our excess is fairly high as it is!
tend to agree with that. The ridge at the top might have made the scratch and the lower ridge did the bumper damage. That'd be why there is hardly any damage in between and appears to be no 2nd party paint on there.
