Just stumbled across these: Drive - Dangerous Causing Death: s.52A(1) - Public Defenders Office : Lawlink NSW Drive - Aggravated Dangerous Causing Death: s.52A(2) - Public Defenders Office : Lawlink NSW Anyone who thinks their speeding or drink/drug driving is no big deal would do well to have a skim through these. It's a real reality check when you read things like: That 20km/h over the limit you do, or the extra schooner or two, could be the last you or someone close to you ever gets.
My god. I am speechless.. "Intoxicated (0.127-0.387). Crashed into cars in one street and continued driving. Kept driving although air bag expanded. Collided with car at intersection and killed driver. Excellent character." What an idiot.. Killed a driver, smashed peoples cars. What a *******.
a drunk guy rear ended my auntie and uncles brand new my09 ve sv6 with 5,000km on it, the guy rear ended a lady and then pushed her car into the sv6, other two car where written off, sv6 is getting repaired
In a case like that you'd almost wish the SV6 was written off so you'd get a new one. Now it's a brand new car, but it's had damage to it. It's one of the things that ****s me about insurance, sure you can claim the repair cost, but who pays you for the lost resale value, or the "psychological trauma" of driving a car that isn't mint anymore?
unfortunately ive been close to someone that lost their life because of 1 stupid mistake. few years ago good mate decided to jump on his motobike after a big night, he made it half way home, but rode straight through a red light at an intersection. Was killed on impact after colliding with a landcruiser. another one more recently my sister was on her way home from work at night in pretty bad conditions. travelling along the highway, ****ing down rain she rear ended a stationary car in the middle of the road while comming around a blind corner. The car didnt have taillights on, she couldnt pull up in time or swerve.. she hit at about 50-60kph. i was on my way home aswell, a few minutes behind when i got a call from her. by the time i got there an old couple had pulled over to help, the driver of the other car was of his tits, couldnt even stand straight. we rang the police, and while we held him there had a quick look in his car, vb longys everywhere, and one of his front tires was shredded, front bar covered in grassand mud. then he started getting agressive towards my sister when he knew the cops where comming, and tried to do the bolt, caught him a few houses down and gave something he would remember in the morning, just before the police arrived. anyway the part that ****s me is they said he had been caught once already that night.. ****ing hate drink drivers... its not worth it.
the towbar took most of the impact to the chassis but there is a puncture hole to the back bumper and dent in the boot lid, they estimated 6,000 worth of repairs which i couldn't understand but was later told that the front passenger door is sticky now since the accident, so i guess the it must be going on the chasis aligner:rip: they must be unlucky, same thing happened to the last car, a vx, had it a week and some guy creamed the rear of it, couldnt open the boot lid etc, had it towed away, was fixed not replaced, suffice to say they are never getting a white car again
