just pour some hot water out of a kettle over it and peel it off, thats how i got my badges off.. could even use a hair dryer to soften the glue up

I swear by k+h wax and grease remover + hot water and a rag to get the glue/sticky **** off. It is a solvent base cleaning fluid and will not damage your paint what so ever.

To get the badges off, I recommend using some fishing wire.

use some fishing line to cut the glue off then use some hot water or eucalyptus oil (make sure u wash it off soon after) that worked for me, it didnt leave any residue at all...

my fishing wire and hot water didnt work for me when i took mine off my vl.
a few paint chips stuck to it and i was so careful.
and turps got the sticky stuff off really easy, then gave it a wash and perfect.
