sound deadening mat - on flood of chassis.

my car flooded the other night,

ripped carpet up, all the underlay.. but there was even water under them sound deadening mats. There was more underlay under thoes mats so that had to be dried.

when pulling the mats up they crumbled to bits.

where can i buy more of this sound deadening mat ??

I've never seen this particular material sold before, but it looks pretty similar to "Orminoid" which is a bituminous material used for sealing roofs, gutters etc. Bunnings carry it and you would first coat the floor with Orminoid paint (bitumen paint) and then lay the Orminoid over the wet surface. Trouble is that it takes days and days to dry which isn't a problem when used on roofs.
If it was me I'd just put some carpet underlay under the carpet - it will do the same job.
