Hey Guys need some help from some pros out there with my sound system, ill put the layout for you, ive got, Kenwood 4 x 50w Headunit 2000W American Boss 4 Channel Mosfet Amp 600W Clarion Sub 1200W Kenwood Sub x2 150W 6" Jaycar Speakers x2 Tweakers Now ive set up the sound system with 2 RCA Splitters and it works fine, but the bass doesnt sound right, both of the subs rnt going no where near as hard as they used to, one even sounds like its supposed to blow, i have all speakers (except tweakers) straight to the amp, each sub on a seperate channel and both speakers on 1 channel. The sound quality is crap and it wont go over 20 on volume (or sub cracks or protection mode comes on) the power is run by a 10gauge wire (which i think is enough considering ive ran it of it before) but im starting to think should I put the rear speakers straight to the headunit?? Its really confusing me! :| ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT!!!
you got the polarities around the right way for the subs?? because the may be cancelling them selves out there for giving a very crappy bass response.
Why are you running 2 different types of subs together? No wonder it doesn't sound right. Also, wtf are tweakers lol 10g wire is quite small, so i'd upgrade the power and grounds. Get rid of one of the subs (probably the Clarion). Make sure the speakers and sub(s) are all the same impedance as well.
as these guys said but remember not to hook the TWEAKERS (tweeters) up to the amp as another mismach sub
Haha yeh typo (tweeters) tried taking out the 6", runnin the 2 subs off the amp, better but protection mode cutting off as soon as bass kicks in, i dont understand as I was runnng just the subs of the amplifier before and they worked fine! Maybe it is the mains & ground need upgrading again!
