spark plug leads

    just wondering if sum1 can tell me if its ok 2 use spark pluga and leads from a VK calais carby 308 on a VR 5ltr, the VK is all electronic dizzy and everything.
    coz i hav a brand new set of 8mm eagal ultra serise leads and bosch plugs on my VK but now its just sitting in the back yard coz i hav a new car. ne help would b great

    doubt it, purely because i dont think it would fit...the lengths of the leads wouldnt be the same and the plugs would be a different type and size.

    As long as the end connectors are identical and the lengths are similar and will reach without stretching I don't think there is any reason why you couldn't use them. The electronic distributor may have different plugs at the dizzy side. Isn't the 5 litre the same engine as the 308? Otherwise, why waste a good set of leads.

    just tryd fitting the leads and they dont fit :( the end that goes onto the distributor doesnt fit

    Sometimes if its just the sleeve that doesn't fit you can swap the sleeve over.

    nah the problem was on the VK on the distributor the pin sticks up n the sleav goes over that but on the VR the pin on the lead or sumthing has 2 go inside the distributor or sumthing
