so I’ve got a 2012 lfx auto sv6 and I’ve basically tried changing the spark plugs myself and haven’t been successful in doing so basically the plug won’t come out I’ve tried a magnet and also used my ratchet with a spark plug socket but it’s still not coming out, it’s like jammed in the car. my car so far has done 103000ks bought at 100000ks assuming there factory plugs. Anyone have any recommendations

I assume you mean the thread is locked real tight?

Maybe try some WD-40? Just a squirt to try loosen it.

Or if your trying to do it while it’s hot, let it cool right down.

Other than that, it’s gotta come out one way or another. It shouldn’t be that tight, but if it is, pull harder.

Remember its a right Hand Thread,
NOT a left hand thread.

Yes spray WD40 on it, and leave it overnight.

Is it tight and cannot be undone or have you undone it but can't get it out ?

Well it’s loose so I assume it’s undone like I’m not getting pressure from my rachet so assuming it’s undone but then it’s like stuck and not coming out tried a magnet still no luck I’ll try wd40.

Perhaps the plug is still being held in by a couple of threads? Would it be beneficial to try inserting the coil pack back into the head to hopefully engage back onto the plug and pull it out. I have no idea how tight a fit these coil packs are onto the plugs, but I know the HT leads were diabolically difficult to get off the plugs on our VS Ecotec.

A coil pack attached to a spark plug would easily be able to lift the plug if the plug isn't being held in place by something. Try unscrewing it another 10 turns using your spark plug socket attached to an extension and turning it by hand. If it's still stuck maybe there's a big lump of crud glued to the tip of the plug but very unlikely.

a piece of hose pushed on the end of the plug to pull it up and undo it the last half a turn.
