Speaker Grill

Hey, I was wondering how to remove the front speaker grills on a VR commodore. Im hoping to put in new speakers so need to figure it all out. I tried slotting a screwdriver into the two little slots to wedge the grill out but I felt like i was going to snap/bend the grill. Quite new at all this so any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks

If its the actual grille you want to remove you will need to take the door card off.
There is a thread on how to remove the door card in this forum.
Once you have the door card off, Get in behind the speaker grille and bend the steel mesh streight. It is folded over to "hook" into the door card.
Once you have streighend the mesh it will just push out.

6" pioneers to be exact well if there still factories.. u can jam 6.5" in there but its requires a bit more work, 6" fit straight up
