I hate to say it but my VX calais stacker disc player and factory "premium" stereo now lay buried at some tipsite ,I cannot understand what made the GM folk think they were quality units . I am not a sound purist by any means but a cheap $35 4 channel 50w Sony xbass pulled from a wreck at the junkyard keeps me happy... Funny how the same year GM Cadillac seville got Bose and Holdens got something that was really only good for AM radio...What they did get right with the Calais was speakers everywhere and plugged into my $35 unit it sounds good enough to keep me happy... My suggestion is find another stereo that has all the bells and whistles you need and get the loom plug for it that way your not hacking your way to an electrical fire.....lol
