Hi I have a ve ss 2011 and It has after market speaker in it and I would like to get them hooked up to an amp and I'm a bit uneducated when it comes to cars, so I have a few questions.

1 does it matter what amp I get ?
    2 do I need anything else ?

    Thanks in advance

hey mate, amp will depend on the speakers. make sure the amp has enough for peak wattage of the speakers. Say 4x 150 watt speakers should have a minimum of 600 watts to handle the output. A decent 4 Chanel will do the trick. On top of that grab yourself an amp wiring kit with the large fuse able link and aux / rem wiring included.

Another thing to consider is the head unit. If it is standard make sure it has Aux out, if no aux out you will need another head unit with that support.

If your not running a sub that will have you sorted. However if you do go with a sub look at monoblock amps and a power capacitor to stop voltage drop if going into the 1000w realm. but thats a whole other thing...
