    Hi Guys.

Noticed I have a fair sized leak coming from the VSS on my Transmission on the VR (dropping a couple of hundred ml per night on the drive)

Have fixed leaks from everywhere else e.g pan....tailshaft CV etc its just this one remaining.

I assume there is a gasket or a seal behind the sensor?

If so does anyone know the part number for these as I tried contacting repco and they claim not to carry anything on the shelf like that?

    Thanks

The VSS has an "O" ring seal. You may have to remove the existing one and take it to a place that deals in "O" ring seals. Make sure you get a seal that is compatible with trans fluid (eg. Nitrile rubber).

Good trick which will maybe help you is to flip the o-ring over and add some vaseline on the o-ring and reinstall. Worked for me numerous times doing breakdowns at my work. Worth a shot, it'll cost you nothing.
