i hope you're not whipped. make sure that she pays it if you take the blame. give her a good slap on the bum as well, she needs to know that what she did was wrong. you'll probably need compensation for the points as well, come to think of it.
Well being a fellow older Lplater (Im 19.. Yes laugh away) I understand it does get difficult and annoying, Every licensed driver nailing in my head I'm speeding, So to save me copin an earful.. I stick to the speed limit, which by the way is the law. If she didn't wanna get done for speeding, she shouldn't speed. When she's on her Ps, What she does and speeds in her car is upto her.. But her being your responsibility (as you are the licensed driver) your suppose to be teaching her the 'propper road rules' because she won't ever get her Ps driving like that in a test.. I also believe you both lose points too.. Correct me if im wrong.
Yea im pretty sure both lose points and get fined.. Its what I've always been told anyway.. Mum always does it to me.. Sets the speed at 80.. And it does the beep beep going over then from over back under.. So you just go 81.. To 79.. To 81.. To 79.. Soon got that off haha
I didnt say its right but it does make sense. Scenareo - your young and just find out your girlfriend is pregnant. She stuffs up while driving and exceeds the speed past a camera for whatever reason, deliverate, accidental ... whatever. Im not going to start an argument here but I am going to point out the obvious though there are alot of people, ALOT of people who speed for various reasons, whether you like it or not thats what happens and your kidding yourself if you try to tell me otherwise. Anyway point is its a very simple mistake to make and I agree she should be taught a lesson. Yes, the penalty is loss of licence in this case. What Im getting at though is his thinking is with a bub on the way and the missus being so close to getting her P's this could be the difference between being able to get around to doctors appointments etc easily or relying on public transport and walking, and coming into summer I know the better option ... IMHO if my girlfriend was pregant I'd want her to be able to get to places with ease as well. I'm all for reaming people who do wrong, the JCCC guys in NSW know that, but maybe its my personal experience kicking in here as well thats clouding my usual critical @$$hole judgement of everyone.
Thats wot i mean, if she was on her ps or full licence she can take the blam. I know she did wrong so does she but i dont want her usein busses and trains while pregnant to get to appointments. Yes she will be paying the fine by herself thats for sure.
Don't take this the wrong way but she was on her "P" plates and lost her license so got put back to "L" plates and gets done speeding, didn't she learn her lesson the first time? Is there always going to be someone there to bail her out of trouble she gets into or will she learn from her mistakes? Then what about the cops seeing the "L" plate in the photo? if your lucky then they might believe you were driving but they aren't that dumb and you might just get done not only for speeding but also displaying "L" plates when your not supposed to. This might be harsh but let her take her medicine.
Oh brilliant. Sounds like a perfect mother to be! Irresponsible citizen who can't even slow down when learning to drive to protect her unborn child. Hopefully the police do spot the L plates and crucify both of you if you attempt to evade the road rules, especially as she has already been caught before and clearly not learned from that as she continues to flout the rules. Given the police do read these forums, they may have already identified you and just waiting now for you to hang yourself Tell her to 'suck it up Princess' and to catch the bus. Maybe time on public transport might actually teach her a lesson this time around.
it's all about the kids wait for the ticket in the mail (might not even get done) value of fine is same nominate yourself as driver (i wouldn't do it for someone elses bun in oven) it's not a murder investigation they won't be hardcore checking photo for L plates, driver identity, etc. camera dept don't care as long as somebody pays the cashezz take advice for what it's worth ie - i'm apparently just another knobjockey vn v6 driver ps - i wanna go fast
+1 While I don't condone what your doing, at the end of the day, the fine still has to be paid. I'm certain that they wont check (as I've been through the same situation, I was fined for doing 65 in a 60 zone; had my ex-gf's red P plates up while I was driving (I was fully licensed). She recieved the fine (as it was her car that I was driving at the time), I nominated myself as the driver, and paid the fine when the notice was resent.)
WRONG !!!!! they will look at the photo and see a female driver and not a male driver of course they care that the GUILTY person gets the infringement
ok, it might be "WRONG"...but it happens. people take other peoples points. i was wearing a wig or i have a mullet and i rock and i look like a girl. touch my body - lots.
Did you read the first post? She's already lost her license before. Thats her 'chance'. Why the **** should she get more chances? Break the law, lose your license. Thats the whole idea of the punishment. She's not earning anything if she can just give the points away.
Hey its not my problem you look like a girl but they wiil check the photo they will see a female driving and the male passenger and most likely the Yellow L plate they do have very good cameras these days.
you need to decide your priorities....whats more important to you...your unborn childs life or her speeding to her appointments....
in that case then I'll go sit in the corner and learn my lesson to shut up, I read it but was pre occupied with something else at the time so no I didnt realise that was the case, I thought it was a case of a simple blunder :whistling oh well, now everyones aware I have a short attention span
fair enough, well I feel like an idiot for missing the most cruicial part of the post coz it set me to get my back up and be completely wrong, but yeh in that case then I'll agree too, I have a very small tolerence for people who dont learn a lesson then are after sympathy. I thought she stuffed up once and was looking at losing the licence, making it difficult to get around with a new bub. While I agree its too bad and she should cop the points/loss of licence, I can also see the other side and understand why you would be wanting to take the blame, but as I said Im going off personal experience so my judgement might be clouded. But if shes lost it once before thus why she's back on her L's then yeh sorry bud, I cant really support ya. If me and my mates can go the entire term of having L's then 3 years of P's then more years on blacks without a hitch it can be done so theres no real excuse.
You girlfriend is clearly not responsible enough to be behind the wheel of a motor vehicle, let alone raise a child. These guys can help, with the latter at least.
