Speedo KM's not clicking over

Hi all
has any one ever experianced the k's on the speedo not clicking over when driving, but the speedo
still working " how fast you are driving". thoughtbthe two were connected, i reset the 3 digit trip counter
but it has just stopped, going to investigate when i get a chance but any info would be appreciated

the cog in the speedo cluster that moves the odometer is probably broken...

Hit the nail on the head.

Sumpie you can get replacement cogs pretty much anywhere mate. Can either:

Get another dash from the wreckers
Buy the cog at a holden dealership
or Get one off ebay

Yep, sounds like a stripped cog alright! Just did mine, vr v6, bought the genuine vdo cog off ebay, under $20. Pretty easy to install as well. Take a look at the website for clear, easy to follow instructions on how to replace it.

is a typical problem with most VDO dashes.
