Hi all,
Im London based and I have a y2k R8. They were imported here with an electronic device which alters the speedo and odometer to read in Miles.
It died so I bypassed it and changed the PCM to pump less pulses to the speedo, so it now reads in Miles ok. Problem is I think Odometer is still counting in Km. (Not 100% sure, will verify tomorrow)
Does anyone know whats responsible for handling the Odometer? Does the BCM deal with that, or is it just the one speed signal from the PCM? J2-50?

Ive read about J2-49 having some affect too. Any info on either tuning it to read properly in Miles appreciated. Or do I need to fix/replace the device? (Id rather not as its failed once already!)

I can't help too much except to say that the BCM has nothing to do with the odometer, but I'm sure someone will be able to give you the answers eventually.

the odo should tick over at the correct rate if the speedo is reading correctly
the ppk in the cluster is responsible for the calibration so if this is set correctly then it *should* all work together...in theory.
ask Ross at EFILive & see if he has come across this before

Thanks guys, you are of course both correct.
Speedo and Odometer work fine, just with adjustment to cell H0105 in efilive.
I checked it over 80km today. Odometer counted up 50 (miles).
