Howdy,
I've got an MY09.5 sv6 sedan and looking at slotting on a set of 20" wheels and lowering it by about an inch with some walkinshaw springs.
I went into my local bob jane (who i've used on my past 3 cars) for a chat about it all and he told me that I would have to go a 30mm tyre on 20's. Now I do alot of driving in rural areas and some of the pot holes out there you could lose your entire car in!
Apparently you need to get the speedo recaled if I went 40mm as it plays up with the computer and could void computer warranty. I've had 40mm tyres on previous cars and wouldn't be comfortable in going any smaller than that, especially as I'll also be using the car to tow a boat and will need to carry a tonne on the rear.
Has anyone come across this before or have any suggestions/advice?
Cheers.
