Speedo stopped change sun gear

My milage counter has stopped, everything else on the dash works fine

Would it just be the sun gears broken?

i just bought this, is that all i need...

i'll be spewing if i rip it all out and the larger cog it sits on is broken? possible?

No, I didn't install the larger one. Still have it though in case / when it goes.

I understand that this is an old thread but thought as member VS 5.0 is still rather active on here I'd rebirth it.

Just out of interest what does the larger gear do ? as my speedo has the stuck needle when you move off from stand still but jumps up when you get to about 15~20 kph. It does this every time you come to a stand still. In other words it will never register and speeds between 0 and 15 kph.

Also the odometer has totally given up the ghost and that will be the small yellow gear that requires changing.
