   I've read threads that say you can fit 6.5" speakers in, can they fit in without adjustments? as long as they are not too deep? how deep can they be from the rim on the front face of the speakers?

   you will need to cut te back off the pod to fit just about any 6.5" speaker. as for mounting depth, can't remember the exact depth, but it's got a steep taper aswell. best bet is to just mod it, it's only plastic.
