splits vs coxial

i have just got some new speakers for my vt, 4 x 6 1/2" sony xplode 170 watt coaxials .
i have been reading some threads and keep coming across "splits in front doors" and "coaxials in rear doors" now im confused can i use coaxials in all four doors or not . any help would be much appreciated:confused:

splits will give a better staging effect in the front. splits consist of woofers in the doors and tweeters in the dash or pillars as well as two crossovers (for each side/door) which sends the low frequencies to the woofers and high frequencies to the tweeters.

well more than that, splits have a wider variety of price range. there are not many -axial speakers avalibal for over $1200

arent Z6's optional? eg you can mount them either way

yup semi, they are. there are some that can be mounted split or co-axial but really spending how much on z6's and mounting them co-axial in the front permentally.......nuts.

Z6's and Pro's can both be mounted coaxial or separate. I've got the Z6's separate int he front and Pro's coaxial in the rear.

semi... I think you need to refer to the "not many" part of his sentence :)
