um my mates have all got spool and i really like the idea but am scared im going to take a corner and a cops going to hear me snapping around it.. they have stockys on all the time and i was just wondering how a spool would go with 17's on.. would the grip of a larger tyre snap the axle? and make loud as chirpping noises around every bend.. i was also worried about the under steer

Mate, no need for a spool in a 3.8 VN, leave them for the race cars(also, they are illegal & dangerous on the road)

yer im in it more for the burnout factor.. dont need to decide on getting a spool cause its that or the welder either way.. just wanna no how bad its going to be without stockys on the back..

If it just for burnouts, weld it. I had a VK V8 with 18's & a welded center, never had a drama(except for in the rain).
