Holden 1999 VS V6 Ute
Hi,

I’ve just bought a Sport by HDT dash badge to replace the factory ‘HOLDEN’ one, on the passenger side, and it is too short for the hole. What’s the go with it, do I just stick it over the top of the original badge or take it out and run it with a big whole.

Any help is appreciated.

Those badges can be removed, but very very carefully so as not to damage the plastic of the crash pad.

One has to use the thinnest of blades to be able to start to lever it out without putting any depression marks into the surrounding area.

Alternatively if you don't care about the badge that you are removing all you need to do is drill a few holes into the badge and then hook it out with some sort of strong wire with a hook bent up on the end of it.

Your call I guess, but I always do things the best way possible so as not to inflict any damage to any part of what one is working on.
