Sports exhaust??

I know this sounds a bit silly but I see people advertising their cars for sale and saying it has a “sports” exhaust, what the heck is that supposed to mean? Is it like a generic term similar to a stage 1,2,3 etc?

any aftermarket exhaust is often marketed as a "sports exhaust" even if you just chuck a hot dog in it.

it's a generic term for normals.

Just a term referring to an aftermarket larger or louder system. Any change from the factory configuration is usually referred to as "sports" or "performance" exhaust.
