I know this is an old thread, but just to add my experience and let you know you are not alone with this particular problem. Mine looks exactly the same.
Pi$$poor design of the item aside, the unnamable idiots (up the Windsor Rd) from whom we took delivery of this car installed the thing upside down. It didn't take the guy who originally had the car by surprise, but as the thing had the belts tightened right up and it still swung in the breeze, got me annoyed. I installed it the right way up.
I will start my own thread if the problem is not fixed.
