In the city today I spotted a new chev camaro parked. Talked to the guy in the drivers seat, he said he and a few associates are looking to import about 20 or so into Melb, convert them to RHD and sell them! Apparantly they can only import '20 a year', but they're guna try and see if they can get around it somehow and import more otherwise theyre guna be quite expensive it was exact same as the bumblebee camaro in transformers movie(except in red) ! Tuff as! Anyone else seen one of these on our roads?
If this is the base model, its like the VE commodore, looks pretty ordinary, but go up the model range, and that should see some improvements in visual appearance... Personally I think they could look quite nice with the right set of wheels, the right ride height, and a classy paint job, (im a fan of that silver that ive seen them in) and maybe a billet style grille covering the headlight and lower grille area, it could be a real head turner...
So much potential, and GM made a complete mince of it. I'm glad Chrysler at least made a decent looking car out of the new Challenger... shame it's apparently not such a hot car to drive.
Saw a Camaro just last week Saturday travelling along the Princess Hwy. meet up with him at the Bairnsdale BP, damn nice car!
Saw one a couple weeks ago on the west gate freeway city bound... think it was a red one. Could have well been that one in the original post. And just last week, Thursday to be exact, I spotted a white new Nissan GTR in the Keilor area. No plates, woman driver. Very impressive looking car!
saw a black about a month ago and the covers coming of a black one the week it was launched/shown in the paper, look horn as, would love one in a couple of years, yeh a price would be awesome
Yeah, I know where it is. I was being facetious. Sphinx has "Pakistan" as his address and said he lived not far from Lang Lang. Seeing as the Camaro has now been released in the States and production is underway in Canada, how come you guys are still seeing so many running around in Victoria? I woiuld have thought the testing stages were finished and any further testing would be conducted in the States or Canada.
Export them to the yanks for cheap then buy them back at an inflated price. Makes business sense to me Lol!
Certainly has got potential (the OP). Those wheels are ordinary - could've done much better there. I'd like to see a higher spec model. (Is that one in the pic above? Looks like a concept car photo).
