Saw my first vf today. Ss sportwagon. Looks same as ve from windscreen back, looks like an aborted camry from front. Seriously though, those side flutes in chrome looked tacky, real tacky.
2013 Holden Commodore VF SV6 Sports Automatic didn't want to make a new thread, weird hows it already for private sale, on a side note, man those indicator and wiper stalks are fat
Interesting. Asking more than RRP. Obviously thinks there is someone out there who will pay more than RRP to get one quickly. Could be an optimist. I saw an SV6 in Penrith on the Queen's Birthday public holiday, so I expect they will be readily available soon.
Looking at those pictures....honestly there is nothing there that could make me want to buy a VF styling-wise....so disappointing.
I can understand that many don't like the styling but I'd suggest you go check one out in person before passing judgement.
I sat in one yesterday. I found the exterior nice, while the rear seems to be following the trend of Toyota and Mitsubishi, it is tolerable. The front looks great, nice and chunky. My biggest disappointment however is the dash, and generally the whole interior. The centre console looks... I dunno, "girly" I guess. It looks like something you'd find in a small car, not very Commodore-y. The crappy centre vents accentuate this style. The cluster is pretty disappointing, it looks okay but I really don't like the "tunnel" style pipey things that shoot out at you around the speedo and revs. Again, something I would expect from a small car. The button hand brake is pretty annoying, but this seems like an unavoidable standard with modern cars that I'll just have to learn to live with one day. Hopefully the series II models will have a better interior, because that's about the only thing I didn't like about the car. I didn't take much notice of the seats, but the trims seemed okay to me.
Going back to the advertised second hand VF SV6, the drive away RRP from the Holden website is $42,363. The seller is seeking $45,000 excluding on road costs. Must be dreaming!
^ The advertised car is on gas. so the driveaway price is about $45300, but he's obviously forgotten depreciation......the arse falls out of the value the instant its driven off the lot. Doesn't matter whether its done 200KM or 5000Km....its used.
So you've posted numerous times. If you really don't like it that much why do you feel the need to tell everyone all the time?
I'm still yet to see one in person, so I'm still on the fence. The more pictures I see, the more I'm liking it though.
You've previously made your opinion pretty clear so why state it again just cause? I think VLs are uglier than a bucket full of smashed crabs but I don't go into every VL thread and say it, I avoid that area all together. I think you're either fishing for bites or just want someone to back up your opinion so you feel included.
