    ya mum!
Just wondering if anyone has done it so at the press of the remote button the boot lid actually lifts open. Would be good to have when you have your hands full.

(posted in VE and VF sections as I have one of each)

heavier boot struts would help. Maybe the SS has heavier struts to the Senator? Spoiler would be heavier on the SS I imagine.

both mine are very similar. Senator goes up a tad more but neither go all the way up.

I am guessing you have the big spoiler...mine does and the boot only opens about 1/3.

I only have the boot lip spoiler.
Just the last few days I've been returning to the car to find the boot fully open. This is pissing me off.

This is caused by accidentally pressing the boot button on the remote when it's in your pocket ect
There is a BCM rework that can be carried out at your local dealer so that you have to hold the button down min. 1 sec for it to open the boot (same with drivers door boot button). Currently a feather could even open it as you have found out.

Same here, the raised spoiler is heavier and it only open part way. You could fix it with some heavier duty struts (easy to swap) but it would make it harder to close...

The button already has to be held for a second or so.
I parked at work, kept key in hand, went to my truck, put key on dashboard n drove truck to Sydney, come back n boot is open.
Definately not from accidentally pushing the button this time, last few times I did blame myself for having keys in pocket. Now I'm doubting the security of the car and won't leave stuff in the car,and this is really pissing me off.
    Haven't had 3000klm initial service yet,but I think I'll contact dealer tomoz.

My SV6 manual with lip spoiler only generally works well. But it is a finely turned opening as if there is rain drops on the lid, it only opens up about half way.

Every service the boot springs are to have spray grease applied as well. Make sure every service it is carried out.
