hey getting brand new "FE2" springs for me vs through holden at 34 bucks each for the front but the rears he said he has too look into and see if they can get them as he said it dont look like they can but he will look

funny considering that the holden wreckers here wanted 66 bucks "each" secondhand lol just shows that holden is cheap on some things lol

Ive compared prices between holden, supercheap, repco and a independant retail shop and holden cut out to be cheaper for 80% of the item, purely because there genuine..

However holden does have some majorly overpriced new items that should be checked up on before purchasing.

The thing is, most people dont go to the effort to get the best price (making lots of phone calls) so they settle for the supercheap/repco price instead of going through holden, getting directed to spare parts, waiting for a quote, then have to wait for them to get delivered to there local holden dealership...

also holden is usually cheaper then the new stuff on ebay, so clearly there just ordering from holden once the auction has ended,

I dont know about other sellers, but i personally have 4 trade accounts, in which i get everything at the cheaper rate versus if i was a joe blo walking in off the street buying off them. I buy it for the wholesale price off the distributor, look at what the rrp/similar quotes and beat that price. on average i only make 5-15 dollars, but would rather make 20 sales a month versus 2-3 a month and ripping people off.

:shooting: lol haha well if u lived close to me (wide bay in QLD) ill think about it lol

as with holden....i have noticed there cheap on a lot of things like OIL, Bushes...and yes i know there only rubber but i prefer them ...umm springs lol , CAI......strut tops for VS are only 15 bucks compare to repcos 45 bucks each...then again some stuf is wayyyy dear...like i was quoted $67 for the 2 radiator hoses...went to parts store and got them for 29 for both!! they even wanted $86 "each" for lifters for me old VN v6....i nearly died lol

repco is also cheap on some things like the bearing plates for a VN i got (at trade though) for 49 each. holden wanted somewhere near 160 each..the bearings for a vs commodore strut is $21......etc

supercheap is exactly the opposite to there name....there the ones that are dear ...costs liek 50 bucks more to order stuff in However they are cheap on engine mounts for a commodore compared to the rest....holden 130 each (fluid filled thats why)

to get the good price u do have to ring around

hope ive bored you guys :whistling

I got a pair of rear FE2 springs through work for a VS about 12 months ago. Cost me around $70. I can check if they are still available tomorrow and will also check up on the fronts.
