ok so alot of my mates have commodores and they have overly low cars mainly from putting bmw springs in there vx's which puts there cars straight on bump stops but my mate has a set of magna springs that he put in his car for awhile it was very low!and he said for me to put them in my car to see how it drives and looks...ok so the question..is there any thing wrong with putting springs from a different car in mine i know not all springs will work but it seems to work for bmw springs in vx's really well so will magna springs in my vr be the same?

Springs are manufactured to suit each vehicle. While the spring itself may physically fit, the length, the number of coils and the spring rate are all different for each car. I wouldn't do it as the incorrect spring rate will affect ride and handling making the car unsafe.

Be careful with springs that aren't made for that brand/or model of car as you will change the slip rate on the car/ tires. You don't want this as it can cause you to lose control of your car at higher speeds around corners particularly in wet weather; best bet is to buy springs made for that car.
