Hi All

I just finished replacing the rotors and pads on all 4 ends. That was front 2 weeks and rear 1 week ago. Before they were screaming and needing replacing so I save a tone doing it myself. (Pretty straight forward and hard to do wrong) . Now I am not a heavy breaker but I do drive in pretty heavy traffic to and from work. I am finding that my breaks are still a bit squeaky and can be quite load at some times. What I was wondering is this normal for common. If any help I just used standard rotors and some Ferado brake pads. Also I was thinking of some solutions already and I wanted some opinions of whether or not those spray on things are any good or not and if there just a quick fix. Any help would be great.

I followed the standard breaking in instructions which was accelatre to 60 break relativly hard to 5 then accelerate rinse and repeat a few times. Also may be a strupid thing to ask what do you mean by beding them in?

I would of driven to 40km brake hard and repeat at least 5 times. Bedding them in means your meshing the new pads with rotors to make sure they contact properly, secure and wear evenly. If you did'nt bed them in properly then they'll stay noisy until your next pad replacement

Squeaky pads - I've found have been the $30 jobs from sprints. I have 2 set almost new sitting in the shed.

I now fit $70 units from a brake place - for the Vn's that is.

mine has started doing something like that. brakes have only been on for a couple of months and now when i brake very softly there is a rubbing sound until i brake sort of hard. getting it serviced soon, should be right.

Just an update since this was a couple of weeks ago. it all seem to be fine now it just seemed that it took longer to break in then what I thought. We at least this weekend i have my new twin cat 2.5" cat back system to install this weekend. So looking forward to that

i always spray brake clean/degreaser type stuff on the rotors when you get them to take off that coating that's on them, and i use "anti squeak" spray on the back of the pads and i have never had a problem....only one time i have had squealing brakes and that what because i used a cheap brand pad, i use Bendix and they work 150% fine all the time every time for me,

fit bendix graphite pads, not sure on the product number but mine were really bad and i got told to deglaze my rotors 350$$ at holden, ended up buying new slotted rotors and bendix pads only to take the rotors back because they stopped squelling after a good clean and new pads. F*** paying 350$$ when i can get new ones for 400.
