Squeaky Door

Does anybody know whether the front doors can be adjusted, the drivers door squeaks and rattles when going over bumps. Can a tighten it so that it shuts tighter or do I have to replace the rubbers. It is just really annoying.

Mine squeaked for years, i tried WD40, CRC, and others on the hinges n nothing worked, til i sprayed some inside the door where the guide/stop rod feeds thru into the middle door, hasnt squeaked since

The rattles, im yet to get the time to pull off the door trims and have a look at what can be done..

My VN Wagon door squeaked for over 6 months. Ran some masking tape along the kick plate and over the door seal and it stopped. Very happy I must say. I CRC'd, greased and zip tied everthing inside the door. Masking tape sofar has been the only fix.

Should replace the door seal I guess. But no squeak for now is good.

so wait.. the stopping of the squeaking is done how? ive tried it all and im so over it!! and answers to that dodgy rattle would be handy.. it drives me nuts!! grr!

Yep fixed with humble masking tape...... (v6 wagon)
The door seal is the problem I guess.
I take it that your squeek happens when driving down the road....

Also look at the bonnet latch - sounds sus but the VN V8 sedan I have had a dry bonnet latch and when greased the noise was gone. Very very happy as I too was so over the squeeking and rattles.

squeak happens ALL the time.. open door, close door, driving on bumpy roads.. argh! i'll have 2 try that masking tape thing thou..

...and u have CRC'd the hidges and greased the bit inside the door that holds it open. They are the bits that make all the noise when car is stopped and u open n close doors.
Door seal (squeek) is when car is on bumpy road.
Y not try removing the door seal to see what noise stops (if any) when driving

Where exactly did you put the masking tape, on the door or on the scuff plate?

Over the scuff plate and the rubber part of the door seal used 2" masking tape. The door moves in the door frame and rubs on the rubber moulding.
