Ozgarage - Exhaust Comparo
Interesting that the 2 1/2" catback with 1 3/4" extractors ran the same kW as the 3" catback with the same extractors.
I have VE2 SS ute man, and i have just accquired a set of GTS headers and cats and have purchased a Xforce 3" staino cat back system, i am just interested to know if i will recquire a tune with the HSV headers.
you could maybe get away without a tune....maybe..
but just get one its worth it... You'll most defenently be running lean without a tune..
No worries thanks for that mate greatly appreciated
yea i got that system on my ute, 2.5" loud option.. stainless steel. just a set of small mufflers at the rear, but i put pacemaker headers on... sounds awesome! wouldnt change it for the world. no drone...
Hey guys, sorry just a virgin at this site, please be gentle. I read the first few pages and last few on this thread. I have an ssv Wagon, and looking to get an exhaust system. Not sure if its been mentioned, but being a wagon and an auto, is it difficult to not get drone? if anyone has one, what would they recommend I do? and where to go in Melbourne to get one.
Not sure on other brands but when i had my 3" kpm catback and now the full 3" i have no droan at all thats on my ute
i dont think its a brand issue woggy u only have half car so less exhaust is under ur cabin
thats why he is asking bout his wagon, they r renowned for having more likelihood of drone
BlueSteele, ithink someone said in a thread not too long ago that they got their wagon dynamatted? to muffle the drone, i cant remember who said it though :/
So you don't know much on this issue, just what you have heard?
well...from what ive read on here
no im not an expert sorry :/
I have an Xforce, awesome exhaust for utes.
For a wagon, from everything I have learnt I'd recommend KPM if you have the coin.
I have a 2.5" KPM in my wagon no drone what so ever. Awesome exhaust but you do pay for it.
My wagon is a manual though.
It's nearly been a year since I started this thread, I hope it's proved useful to everyone.
