VE SS
Hi all, be gentle, this is my first time.

So I'm a first time ss owner. I am wondering if anyone can tell me anything I can do to lower drone between 1500 and 2500rpm? I've got cams, headers and 3inch exhaust system with no muffler, just hotdogs..And also, if you live in Brisbane, the best SS specialists that you know off.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

NAAF will probably chime in, but when i was chatting with the Manta exhaust guys the other day they were saying that when you go down the cam path having a full set of mufflers is better. (for example my S/C + Cammed LS2 has a full set of mufflers not only to keep it quiet but the drone isnt there either)

Headers will make it louder.
Hotdogs will make it louder.
So potentially a smaller exhaust and mufflers can and will make a difference, especially with the drone.
But that part i'll leave up to the experts to go more into details.

Get some "good" rear mufflers and either long resonators or mufflers in the midpipe.

You ain't going to lose any power with straight through mufflers.

As for the resonators, louvered will help with knocking out the tone more than perforated, but, I have found that louvered will not last as long, I believe it is the degradation of the glass packs happening much quicker with a louvered item over the perforated.
