Hey guys,

as the title outlines, i am looking at getting either the Calais V or SSV Tail lights. its Series II SV6 in the poison ivy green, and no rear spoiler.

Just wondering your opinions on which looks best, i like both equally.

Throw us your opinions

I think you'll find the Calais V ones wont fit, so you don't have much choice...

Correct!

Omega/SV6/SS/SSV all the same size. (SSV ones are the only ones that look different)

Berlina/Calais/CalaisV all the same size. (Calais/CalaisV are identical)

Would be considerably more expensive to start changing rear bars and panels to get them to fit too.

So people can't do what you want to do very easily...

Berlina/Calais/CalaisV are on the luxury line.

SV6/SS/SSV are on the sports line.

It's about differentiating the different models.

Pity, as the Calais tail lights would bring out a bit of class in the SS/SV6.

I think the taillights for the sports models look rather cheap.

+1 from me. Why oh why Holden did you put 'executive' level lights on the SV6 and SS? From a distance, an SV6/SS sedan looks like an Omega with a wing on it. SSV lights look the goods... surely they could have made an in between version for the SV6/SS - say like tinting just the indicator/reverse part or something.

not a fan of the calais lights really at all. However I do agree that a bit more design work could have gone into the SS lights. Something similar to what VW has done with the Golf R or Audi with it's R-spec cars. Not the same, but in that sort of vein.
