Just had the Stability control warning come up on my 06 ve ssv along with contact dealer and check engine. Car just prods along with no power. Any ideas ???? Cheers
How's your battery? being an '06 i'm guessing it's it 2nd battery, do you know how old it is? When VE batteries are on their way out, up comes the stability control, check engine or contact deails. Rule out the battery as the issue by checking voltage through Engineering Mode: http://forums.justcommodores.com.au...gineering-mode-new-commodore.html#post2649039 From memory, anything around 11.x volts is too low.
Also try disconnecting the negative terminal wait 20 seconds then reconnect. I had this come up after I changed spark plugs all I did was forget to hook up the throttle body plug. Couldnt clear the code even after putting it back on but once i disconnected and reconnected battery it was fine. Hope it works for you to.
Could also be a shagged rear abs loom - happened on the better halves 07 ve v6 - same trouble codes - stability & check engine - about $70 odd from holden - a 20 minute job to replace yourself
